MSLN scFv-CD3ζ (1st) CAR Expression Plasmid Item No.: PCAR-139Shipping: 2 μg Storage: -20°C INTRODUCTION Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CARs) are recombinant receptors that are composed of four regions: an antigen recognition domain (ectodomain), a hinge region, a transmembrane region, and an intracellular T cell signaling domain (endodomain). CAR-T cell therapy uses T cells engineered with CARs to target specific antigen(s) for cancer immunotherapy. MSLN (mesothelin) is a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate two protein products, megakaryocyte potentiating factor and mesothelin. Mesothelin binds MUC16 and may function as a cell adhesion protein. MSLN is overexpressed in several human tumors, including mesothelioma, ovarian cancer, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma. MSLN protein is a target of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells used in the treatment of cancers. RGBiotech offers MSLN scFv-CD3ζ (1st) CAR Expression Plasmid to assist CAR-T research. This vector contains a first (1st) generation of MSLN CAR that consists of four major components: 1) anti-MSLN scFv as an extracellular antigen-binding domain, 2) a hinge region, 3) a transmembrane domain, and 4) CD3ζ (CDzeta, CD247) intracellular signaling domain.
