MUC1 scFv-CD28-4-1BB-CD3ζ (3rd) CAR Expression Plasmid Item No.: PCAR-148Shipping: 2 μg Storage: -20°C INTRODUCTION Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CARs) are recombinant receptors that are composed of four regions: an antigen recognition domain (ectodomain), a hinge region, a transmembrane region, and an intracellular T cell signaling domain (endodomain). CAR-T cell therapy uses T cells engineered with CARs to target specific antigen(s) for cancer immunotherapy. MUC1 (mucin 1, cell surface associated), also known as polymorphic epithelial mucin (PEM) or epithelial membrane antigen (EMA), a membrane-bound protein that is a member of the mucin family. MUC1 plays an essential role in forming protective mucous barriers on epithelial surfaces. Overexpression, aberrant intracellular localization, and changes in glycosylation of MUC1 protein are often associated with colon, breast, ovarian, lung and pancreatic cancers. MUC1 protein is a target of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells used in the treatment of cancers. RGBiotech offers MUC1 scFv-CD28-4-1BB-CD3ζ (3rd) CAR Expression Plasmid to assist CAR-T research. This vector contains a third (3rd) generation of MUC1 CAR that consists of four major components: 1) anti-MUC1 scFv as an extracellular antigen-binding domain, 2) a hinge region, 3) a transmembrane domain, and 4) CD28, 4-1BB (TNFRSF9, CD137) and CD3ζ (CDzeta, CD247) intracellular signaling domains.
