CD33 scFv-CD3ζ (1st) CAR Expression Plasmid Item No.: PCAR-037Shipping: 2 μg Storage: -20°C INTRODUCTION Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CARs) are recombinant receptors that are composed of four regions: an antigen recognition domain (ectodomain), a hinge region, a transmembrane region, and an intracellular T cell signaling domain (endodomain). CAR-T cell therapy uses T cells engineered with CARs to target specific antigen(s) for cancer immunotherapy. CD33 (also known as SIGLEC3) is a member of the SIGLEC family of lectins. It is a transmembrane receptor expressed on cells of myeloid lineage. It enables protein phosphatase binding activity and sialic acid binding activity. It is involved in several processes, including negative regulation of cytokine production, negative regulation of monocyte activation, and positive regulation of protein tyrosine phosphatase activity. CD33 protein is a target of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells used in the treatment of cancers. CD33 protein is a target of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells used in the treatment of relapsed/refractory acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). RGBiotech offers CD33 scFv-CD3ζ (1st) CAR Expression Plasmid to assist CAR-T research. This vector contains a first (1st) generation of CD33 CAR that consists of four major components: 1) anti-CD33 scFv as an extracellular antigen-binding domain, 2) a hinge region, 3) a transmembrane domain, and 4) CD3ζ (CDzeta, CD247) intracellular signaling domain.
