CD47 scFv-CD3ζ (1st) CAR Expression Plasmid Item No.: PCAR-055Shipping: 2 μg Storage: -20°C INTRODUCTION Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CARs) are recombinant receptors that are composed of four regions: an antigen recognition domain (ectodomain), a hinge region, a transmembrane region, and an intracellular T cell signaling domain (endodomain). CAR-T cell therapy uses T cells engineered with CARs to target specific antigen(s) for cancer immunotherapy. CD47 (Cluster of Differentiation 47) is a transmembrane protein that is ubiquitously expressed in human cells and many different tumor cells. It belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and partners with membrane integrins and also binds the ligands thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) and signal-regulatory protein alpha (SIRPα). CD47 is involved in many cellular processes which include apoptosis, proliferation, adhesion, and migration. It plays an important role in immune and angiogenic responses. CD47 protein is a target of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells used in the treatment of some cancers and pulmonary fibrosis. RGBiotech offers CD47 scFv-CD3ζ (1st) CAR Expression Plasmid to assist CAR-T research. This vector contains a first (1st) generation of CD47 CAR that consists of four major components: 1) anti-CD47 scFv as an extracellular antigen-binding domain, 2) a hinge region, 3) a transmembrane domain, and 4) CD3ζ (CDzeta, CD247) intracellular signaling domain.
