INTRODUCTION

Etanercept (brand names Enbrel, Eticovo) is a recombinant fusion protein that is comprised of the extracellular ligand-binding portion of human 75 kilodalton (p75) tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) linked to the Fc portion of human IgG1. Etanercept is used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases by interfering with tumor necrosis factor (TNF).

This plasmid is designed for expressing Etanercept in mammalian Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell line.
