INTRODUCTION

Ocriplasmin (brand name Jetrea) is a recombinant protease with activity against fibronectin and laminin. Ocriplasmin is used in the treatment of symptomatic vitreomacular adhesion by dissolving the protein matrix responsible for the adhesion between the vitreous and macula.

This plasmid is designed for expressing Ocriplasmin in yeast expression system Pichia pastoris.
