INTRODUCTION

Rilonacept (brand name Arcalyst) is a dimeric fusion protein that is comprised of the ligand-binding domains of the extracellular portions of the human interleukin-1 receptor component (IL-1R1) and IL-1 receptor accessory protein (IL-1RAcP) linked to the fragment-crystallizable (Fc) portion of human immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1). Rilonacept is an inhibitor of interleukin 1 and is used in the treatment of cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes (CAPS) including familial cold auto-inflammatory syndrome (FCAS) and Muckle-Wells Syndrome (MWS).

This plasmid is designed for expressing Rilonacept in mammalian expression system HEK293 or Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells.
