INTRODUCTION

Siltuximab (brand name Sylvant) is a human/mouse chimeric monoclonal immunoglobulin G1-kappa antibody that binds to interleukin 6 (IL6) to inhibit the binding of IL-6 to soluble and membrane-bound IL-6 receptors by forming high affinity complexes with IL6. Secukinumab is used for the treatment of multicentric Castleman's disease (MCD) in patients who are HIV and HHV-8 negative.
