INTRODUCTION

Ustekinumab (brand name Stelara) is a human immunoglobulin G1 kappa (IgG1-kappa) monoclonal antibody that binds to both interleukin 12 (IL-12) and interleukin 23 (IL-23). Ustekinumab is used for the treatment of Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
