INTRODUCTION

Abatacept is a human chimeric protein which is composed of the extracellular domain of CTLA-4 and the hinge, CH2, and CH3 domains of IgG1. Functional abatacept is a glycosylated homodimer and can be produced in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell system. As a protein-based theraputic drug, it inhibits the immune activity of T cells. This plasmid is designed for expression of abatacept in CHO cells.
