Bmi1 Expression Plasmid Vector Item No.: PIM-013Shipping: 4 μg Storage: -20°C BMI1 proto-oncogene, polycomb ring finger (BMI1), also known as PCGF4, RNF51, FLVI2/BMI1, flvi-2/bmi-1 in human, is a ring finger protein that is a member of the polycomb group complex 1 (PRC1) which can repress multiple regulatory genes involved in embryonic development and self-renewal in somatic stem cells. BMI1 belongs to an oncogene and its aberrant expression is often associated with various types of cancers. Primary cells immortalized by Bmi1 can avoid molecular changes induced by viral oncogenes (e.g., HPV E6/E7, SV40 T antigen) and remain the differentiation ability. A variety of immortalized human epithelial cells and non-epithelial cells have been successfully established by introduction of the Bmi1 gene. RGBiotech provides various types of plasmid vectors expressing human or mouse BMI1 to assist your scientific research work in the field of primary cell immortalization.
