pComb8 Item No.: PPD002Shipping: 2 μg Storage: -20°C INTRODUCTION As a phagemid, pComb8 is similar to pComb3 except that the geneIII sequence is replaced with geneVIII sequence. Production of phages containing pComb8 needs the presence of helper phages, such as VCSM13. Like pComb3, for Fab display, the heavy chain sequence is cloned into the XhoI/SpeI restriction sites and the light chain is cloned into the SacI/XbaI restriction sites respectively. ProteinVIII is naturally multi-copied so pComb8 displaying is multi-valent compared with the pCOMB3 system. pComb8 can also be used for displaying other proteins of interest.
