INTRODUCTION Myc, also known as c-Myc, is a helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor that plays a role in cell cycle progression, apoptosis and cellular transformation, by forming heterodimers with transcription factor Max. The Myc/Max complex binds to the E box DNA consensus sequence located at target genes. Accumulating evidence shows that Myc is associated with many cancers. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pMYC/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of Myc binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pMYC/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring Myc activities, screening of Myc activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of Myc gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
