INTRODUCTION cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB) is a leucine zipper transcription factor that recognizes and binds to cAMP response elements (CRE) to control target gene expression. CREB binding site, that is CRE, contains a highly conserved octameric palindrome sequence known as 5'-TGACGTCA-3'. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pCREB/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of CREB binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pCREB/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring CREB activities, screening of CREB activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of CREB gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
