INTRODUCTION MYOD, also known as MYF3, MYOD1 and bHLHc1, is a helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor that regulates muscle cell differentiation. The DNA motif that MYOD can bind to, is known as E-box which is presented in many muscular gene promoters. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pMYOD/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of MYOD binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pMYOD/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring MYOD activities, screening of MYOD activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of MYOD gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
