INTRODUCTION ETS domain-containing protein Elk-1 is a transcription factor that belongs to the ternary complex factor (TCF) subfamily, ETS family. Elk-1, toghether with its cofactor, serum response factor (SRF), control genes involved in the ras-raf-MAPK signaling cascade through binding to the serum response element (SRE). RGBiotech offers multiple types of pELK1/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of ELK1 binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pELK1/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring ELK1 activities, screening of ELK1 activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of ELK1 gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
