INTRODUCTION Nuclear respiratory factor 1 (NRF1) is a transcription factor that functions as a regulator of some metabolic pathways such as respiration, heme biosynthesis, mitochondrial DNA transcription and replication. NRF1-responsive promoters possess a consensus sequence of 5'-YGCGCATGCG-3'. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pNRF1/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of NRF1 binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pNRF1/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring NRF1 activities, screening of NRF1 activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of NRF1 gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
