INTRODUCTION Signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) is a transcription factor mediated the expression of a variety of genes playing roles in response to cell stimuli and pathogens. Upon stimulation, STAT1 can form homodimers, or heterodimers with STAT2 or STAT3, which recognize specific promoter elements to trigger downstream gene expression. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pSTAT1/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of STAT1 binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pSTAT1/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring STAT1 activities, screening of STAT1 activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of STAT1 gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
