INTRODUCTION Transcription factor AP-4 (activating enhancer binding protein 4), also known as TFAP4, belongs to the basic helix-loop-helix-zipper (bHLH-ZIP) family. TFAP4 can activate or repress target genes by binding to the symmetrical DNA sequence 5'-CAGCTG-3'. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pAP4/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of AP4 binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pAP4/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring AP4 activities, screening of AP4 activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of AP4 gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
