INTRODUCTION NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells) is a transcription factor composed of proteins including RelA (p65), RelB, c-Rel, p50, and p52. NF-κB exhibits binding affinities to its specific DNA motifs with a consensus sequence 5'-GGGRNYYYCC-3' which can be found upstream of many genes from diverse biological pathways including immune response, inflammation, cell proliferation and cell death etc. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pNFκB/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of NFκB binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pNFκB/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring NFκB activities, screening of NFκB activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of NFκB gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
