INTRODUCTION Serum response factor (SRF) is a transcription factor that binds to the serum response element (SRE) in the promoter region of target genes, and thereby is important in several biological processes including cell growth, differentiation, apoptosis, cell cycle regulation. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pSRF/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of SRF binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pSRF/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring SRF activities, screening of SRF activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of SRF gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
