INTRODUCTION Myocyte enhancer factor 2A (MEF2) is a transcription factor that participates in several cellular processes including muscle development, neuronal differentiation, cell growth and apoptosis. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pMEF2/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of MEF2 binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pMEF2/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring MEF2 activities, screening of MEF2 activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of MEF2 gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
