INTRODUCTION Early growth response 1 (EGR1) is a zinc-finger transcription factor that plays a pivotal role in cell differentitation and mitogenesis. As a transcription regulator, EGR1 binds to its specific DNA motifs and activate the relevant gene expression. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pEGR1/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of EGR1 binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pEGR1/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring EGR1 activities, screening of EGR1 activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of EGR1 gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
