INTRODUCTION TEA domain transcription factor 1 (TEAD1), also known as TCF13, TEF-1, acts as either a transcriptional activator or repressor. TEAD1 protein contains a conserved TEA domain that specifically recognizes the MCAT response element (5’-CATTCCA/T-3’). RGBiotech offers multiple types of pTEAD1/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of TEAD1 binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pTEAD1/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring TEAD1 activities, screening of TEAD1 activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of TEAD1 gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
