INTRODUCTION Visual system homeobox 2 (VSX2), also known as CHX10, is a transcription factor which is able to recognize and bind to a unique DNA oligo sequence upstream of retina-related genes. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pVSX2/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of VSX2 binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pVSX2/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring VSX2 activities, screening of VSX2 activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of VSX2 gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
