INTRODUCTION Signal transducer and activator of transcription 5A (STAT5A), also known as STAT5 or MGF, is a transcription factor of the STAT family. STAT5A protein can be activated by ligands including IL2, IL3, IL7 GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin and other hormones. Upon stimulation, STAT5A binds to its specific DNA motif and trigger expression of target genes. RGBiotech offers multiple types of pSTAT5/RE-Reporter plasmids that contains multiple tandem repeats of STAT5A binding sites upstream of a reporter gene driven by a basal / minimal promoter. Our pSTAT5/RE-Reporter plasmids can be used in monitoring STAT5A activities, screening of STAT5A activitors / inhibitors / homologs, studying regulatory mechanism of STAT5A gene expression, by simply detecting reporter gene expression after delivery of the plasmid into target cells.
